Check-In Team

Position Overview/Responsibilities

Before Service

  • Greet families with a smile to make every child’s arrival smooth and comfortable.

During Service

  • For new families that need assistance, enter the parent name and phone number first. Then, add each child’s information individually. We need EVERY child’s name, date of birth, grade (PreK and up), and any allergies or medical conditions.

    • Explain the name tag system

    • Let them know that they will be contacted via text if they are needed during service

    • Walk them to each child’s classroom so they know where to go next time

  • For returning families that need assistance, you can access their family household profile via Planning Center Check-Ins. You can edit any individual profile in our database.

    • If a family needs to remove anyone from their household profile (extended family, old friends, etc) or merge a duplicate profile please notify the Children’s Pastor. This information has to be edited on a computer.

Closing Check In

  • Check-In closes 30 minutes after each service has started.

  • Indicate that check-in is closed via signage.

  • Collect classroom numbers via the Kids Service Count sheet. Upon completion, return the clipboard to the Check-In desk so the information can be collected by a volunteer.
