BUILDINGS MATTER
Several times throughout Scripture, God asked His people to build structures for Him—places of worship and places of “presence.” Whether it was a temporary tabernacle or a permanent temple, buildings have always played a significant role in the Kingdom of God. This aspect of His Heart, My Heart will enable us to construct and care for buildings for our current campuses as we prepare for continued growth.
IN MIDLAND
Multiple ministry environments at the Midland campus need investment and renovation to optimize those buildings for ongoing ministry and for future growth.
While details are still being finalized, here are the projects we’re planning to tackle at the Midland campus.
Interior renovations to both the main sanctuary and the office space to maximize efficiency, promote ministry excellence, and reduce monthly expenses
Exterior renovations to both the main sanctuary and the office complex to eliminate water leaks, reduce regular maintenance, and protect internal infrastructure
Elimination of higher interest debt on some current properties to increase cash flow for campus ministries
IN LUBBOCK
For the Lubbock campus to continue to grow, we will begin construction/renovation on our recently purchased building to create a space for weekend services.
Moving Beyond Mobile
For years now, the Lubbock campus has been mobile via setup/tear-down equipment. Moving into a building of our own will not only eliminate the wear and tear on equipment, but it will also allow us to upgrade all aspects of our Sunday experiences with more excellent, permanent equipment.
This will also allow us to reallocate hours spent on labor intensive setup and tear-down to more specific and beneficial ministry to our people.
Finally, a permanent church home for Lubbock lets our community know that we’re here to stay, creating even more incentive for people to give Renew Life Church a chance to become their church home.
Inside the Building
We’re continuing to work with our architect and general contractor to finalize the exact plans and pricing for all aspects of construction, including the interior of the building. At this point, our plan includes the following.
Multi-use adult auditorium designed to provide a high-quality worship experience for up to 500 people
Dedicated and secure kids wing that provides opportunity for ministry excellence
Lobby that provides ample space for connecting and building community
Relaxing volunteer lounge for the dedicated volunteers of Renew Life
